The vivid screen adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's biting satire based on the Amreican Revolution. This large scale British production features a distinguished Anglo-American cast led by Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas and Laurence Olivier. A worthy historical comedy which is still on DVD.
TRIVIA: Burt Lancaster's character (Anthony Anderson) was loosely based on Peter Muhlenberg, otherwise known as The Fighting Parson of the Revolution.
